Anja Langer, vice "Ms. Olympia" -1988, was born June 3, 1965 in Stuttgart (Northern Germany) and grew up in a town next to the wood. Perhaps the fact that Anna spent her childhood "in the open air," explains her extraordinary love for nature. Her first passion was gymnastics.
At 8 years old Anya became a member of the Association of gymnasts and successfully participated in several competitions.
In 1980 (at age 15), Anna began training with weights. She was the only girl in the gym, but she did not care. Step by step, Anna has developed her body. The first six months she trained twice a week, then raised workouts to 3, then - 4 and so on. The first competition, in which an athlete participated, was held in Baden Vutenberge in 1981. After that she began to train even harder and a year later, she won second place.
As the training evolved in 1983, she took the 4th place in the Bundesliga, and 1984 - 2nd place in the competition of pairs in the World Amateur Championship in Madrid (Spain), 1985 was marked by the victory in the World Junior Championships in Australia, and in 1986 - to win the German Championship and the European Championship. After graduating from the training, Anya decided to turn his hobby into a profession. But 1987 was very difficult for a girl - her father died. Still, she managed to take 2nd place in the IFBB Professional World Championship in Toronto and 4th in the competition "Miss Olympia." And already in 1988, Anna has improved result, becoming vice "Ms. Olympia 1988" in New York.
In the same 1991 Anne began writing a book about bodybuilding with Bill Reynolds. In 93 and 94 athlete participated in theater productions in Stuttgart showing live performances containing a combination of movement and dance.
According to Anna, bodybuilding has developed not only physical strength, but moral confidence throughout her life.
